Kaasboerderij ‘T Groendal

Johan Deweer has spent his life immersed in farming and the dairy practices that come with it, growing up on his family’s mixed-use farm. In 1987, he took over leadership of the farm, and after studying cheesemaking abroad in New Zealand, he and his wife Dominque made the decision to transition the farm into a full time, cheese producing dairy.

I That decision has paid dividends for them, as they’ve racked up World Cheese Awards year after year. Now, their son Louis-Philippe has joined the family business, becoming the fourth-generation cheesemaker in the family, and helping them grow into the future. In 2019, they completed the construction of a modern dairy that will help them greatly expand volume and refine their production.

We continue to source a line of Goudas as well as a few washed rind cheeses from the family and are ecstatic about the upgrades and expansions at Kaasboerderij ‘T Groendal.
